Had a blast at our final competition of the season in Detroit FIRST Championship event with Team 610… Some reflections while the memory is still fresh…

Fun… Play games with awesome people who share the same passion is just a load of fun.

Youthfulness… if our robot falls flat, we fix it and go back onto the field again. For us, it’s perfectly normal to fall and try crazy things.

Impact… I can easily see its impact on many young people… every year, a new group of kids will join and will benefit from all the hands-on knowledge sharing by alumni, mentors and their peers.

International… I continue to meet cool people as FRC reaches new regions like Israel, Australia, The Netherlands, French-Canadians in Quebec, etc.

Increasingly accessible awesome tech… Vendors and veteran teams are making it easier to try fun tech such as advanced vision processing using Nvidia Jetson or even LiDAR.

Volunteer driven… Its not-for-profit nature is an important blessing. Volunteers are a self-selected group who genuinely love the tech and enjoy helping kids go pro in STEM careers.

Staying connected with our next generation… “Although children are only 24 percent of the population, they’re 100 percent of our future…” Ed Mackey.

Can’t wait for the next game kickoff in 2019!
